Argentine Peanut Cluster.

The Peanut Sector is the only one where farmers are efficiently integrated into industry and exports, making up an almost perfect chain in terms of synergy. Contrary to other agricultural and livestock sectors, peanut-growing establishments are grouped into cooperatives, which, in turn, own their industrial facilities and exports’ operations; or otherwise, hold partnership agreements with companies in the industry.

In the last five-year term, the peanut industrial sector has made strong investments in agricultural production and processing plants, which rely on state-of-the art technology and stand among the most modern worldwide. Furthermore, for years peanut processing companies have been making significant investments on the development of scientific research regarding peanut growing and industrialization.
